Curved architectural features continue to be a prominent design choice in modern builds. For this project in Cottesloe WA, our prefabricated Flex scored curved Thermasheet boards were utilized to construct a seamless outdoor curved canopy.

The flexible scored design allowed the builder to achieve a smooth, consistent curve without the complexity and labour associated with traditional construction methods. Lightweight and easy to cut and shape on site, ThermaSheet™ provided a faster and more practical way to form the structure.
Importantly, the cementitious surface is ready to render directly onto, eliminating the need for additional lining or substrate preparation and helping reduce both installation time and labour. Combined with its waterproof, highly insulating XPS core, ThermaSheet™ is particularly well suited to external architectural applications.
The result is a striking curved form achieved with fewer construction stages, less weight and greater design flexibility.
